Ricci Rhum Influences Dynasty L'Origine 40°
Famille Ricci - Dynasty - L'Origine is the emblematic cuvée of the French breeder/blender/bottler. Morgan Ricci pays homage to his father, whose portrait benevolently watches over the bottle. It is a great blend of different raw materials, origins and ageing. All the variety of the rum world is thus represented.
Four origins have been gathered, from South America, Asia, Oceania and the Caribbean. The rums are made from molasses and pure cane juice, distilled both in columns and in stills. These rums are first aged between 3 and 7 years in their country of origin.
The Ricci family's work then consists of complex maturation. They use different casks, whose type of wood, toasting and origin can vary. They can use new barrels, but also, as in this case, barrels that have contained bourbon, cognac or white pineau.
After a fine blend resulting from numerous tastings, the rum is bottled with a slight dosage of 13 grams of sugar per litre to round out the whole.
