Porto White Ramos Pinto
Whenever Port is mentioned, it is red wine that springs to mind. In the past, white grapes were used more for lightening red wine than for producing white wine itself.
Nowadays, with the help of studies and by selecting the very best Grape varieties ("Viosinho" to add body, sensuality and flavour; "Rabigato" for freshness and acidity; "Arinto" for the mineral taste, elegance and finesse and Codega for mature fruit and volume), we are able to produce this wine, with its citrine and golden colours unveiling tastes and flavours of ripe, sometimes dry fruits, with delightful splashes of younger and happier flavours. It has a sugar content of around 100 grams per litre.Â
- Grapes varieties: Codega, Viosinho, Rabigato, Arinto.Â
- Conservation: Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark placeÂ
- Temperature: 8Âș to 10ÂșCÂ
- Food pairing and serving suggestions:Â
- Serve chilled, as an aperitifÂ
- Scallops with black garlic and butargaÂ
- Soft goats cheesesÂ
- Melon soupÂ
- Serve chilled, as an aperitifÂ
