Mortlach 1995 Cask Ref. 4126 Berry's
Mortlach was the first distillery built in the whisky town of Dufftown. This is probably the heart of malt whisky production in Speyside and an old saying says that "Rome, was built on seven hills, but Dufftown stands on seven stills". Grain-like aromas evolve with some fruit gum, apples, pears and a hint of smokiness. There is a strong intensity on the nose. The palate is juicy with a little smokiness cutting through it. This is a robust malt with a chic, fruit driven style.
